  • Menswear and womenswear, cut by the same hands
  • A real price within two working days
  • Most commissions fall between £1,200 and £3,500, depending on cloth and construction

    Send yours

    How it works

Three steps, and nothing is committed until the third one.

    1. Send the photo

A photograph, a screenshot, a sketch, or something already hanging in your wardrobe. It does not need to be a good picture. It needs to show us the cut.

    2. We come back with a price

One of our cutters looks at what you have sent and replies with a price, cloth suggestions, and an honest view on anything we would do differently.

    3. We measure you

If you want to go ahead, we measure you at one of our studios or come to you. That is the point where you decide, and not before.

    What we can make

Almost anything. Suits, jackets, coats, trousers, waistcoats, shirts, dresses and separates, cut by the same hands for men and women.

Some of the best work we do starts with a photograph. A jacket that belonged to someone. A coat discontinued years ago. Something a client saw once and has been looking for since.

If you send us a photograph of a garment carrying another house's label, we will make you something built on the same lines, in cloth of your choosing, without the branding. It will fit you, which the original would not.

Not sure we can make it? Send the photo anyway and we will tell you honestly.

Olive utility jacket with wide brown trousers and tan belted jacket
Separates count too. A jacket on its own is a commission like any other.

    Why a photograph works

    Described in words

A slim lapel. A short coat. The exact fall of a skirt. Two people read the same description and picture entirely different garments.

Shoulder line, lapel width and coat length are all harder to put into words than they look.

    Shown in a photograph

A photograph settles all of it in a second.

It is the fastest way for us to understand what you want, and the fastest way for you to get an accurate price.

    What we will not do

We will not reproduce another house's branding. Send a photograph of a labelled garment and we will make something built on the same lines, in cloth of your choosing, without the label.

It will fit you, which the original would not.

    Where to find us

Fittings happen at a studio, at your home, or at your office. We travel to clients regularly, and we can start with a video call if you would rather talk first.

    Common questions

Anything not covered here, ask when you send the photo, or call 020 4652 7088.

    How much does it cost?

Most commissions from a photograph fall between £1,200 and £3,500. Dresses, skirts and separates usually start lower. The exact figure depends on the garment, the cloth and the construction, so we price each piece individually. Send a photo and you will have a real number within two working days.

Can you copy a jacket I already own?

Yes. Bring it in or send us photographs of it, and we will make a version in your cloth, cut to your measurements. Most people find the new one fits considerably better than the original.

Can you work from a photograph alone?

Yes. A clear photograph of the front and back is usually enough for us to price it. If we need more, we will ask.

    Do you make womenswear?

Yes. Our cutters work across menswear and womenswear, and we make suits, jackets, coats, trousers and dresses for women. If you are building a working wardrobe rather than copying one piece, see our tailoring for women.

What if the photo is of a designer garment?

We will not reproduce another house's branding, but we can make something built on the same lines. Most people prefer the result, because it is cut for them.

    How long does it take?

Usually eight to twelve weeks from the first fitting, depending on the garment and how many fittings it needs.

    What happens to my photo?

It goes to one of our cutters and nowhere else. We do not share your details, and we will not add you to a mailing list unless you ask.

    Is there any obligation?

None. Plenty of people send a photo, get a price, and come back a year later. That is fine.
