Sackville Street Sits One Turn Off Savile Row
Sackville Street has been a tailoring address in its own right for generations, running between Piccadilly and Vigo Street with Savile Row a minute's walk away. We are at number 35, on the first floor, in a private fitting room rather than a shop floor.
Being in the building matters more than it sounds. Over 5,000 cloths are here and available around the clock, so when you change your mind about a colour halfway through a fitting, the alternative is in the next room rather than on order.

What an Alteration Can and Cannot Fix
Most fit problems are fixable, but not all of them. The limit is the inlay, which is the spare cloth left folded inside the seams when a garment is made.

Straightforward work at the hem, with nothing to take apart.

The sleeve is shortened at the wrist and the cuff detail stays as it is.

The sleeve comes off at the shoulder, because the cuff buttons and detail would otherwise have to be remade. Which method your jacket needs is decided by the buttons, not by preference.

The jacket has to be taken apart to do it, and the shoulder is where fit really lives, so this is the job that changes how a jacket sits.

A suit can be let out only as far as its inlay allows, which is why a jacket taken in heavily years ago sometimes cannot go back.
Weight change is worth raising separately, because people assume a suit that no longer fits is finished. It usually is not, and on our own garments it is covered by the five year guarantee.

Nathalie May has more than twenty-five years in fashion, starting in bridal and high end cocktail wear, with the last decade in bespoke tailoring. She leads womenswear and inclusive tailoring here.
She cuts for women, men, non-binary and LGBTQ+ clients, and for people with disabilities, and she works on the basis that a bespoke garment says something about the person wearing it, not just the cloth.
Ravi Sagoo has more than six years in tailoring and is well connected in styling circles. He is the person to ask for if you arrive with no clear idea of what you want, because he walks you through cloth, cut and finishing without any of it feeling like a test.
He has a close eye for detail, and every client he has styled has left five star feedback.
A Short Walk From Green Park or Piccadilly Circus
Green Park and Piccadilly Circus stations are both a few minutes on foot, which makes this one of the easier tailor central London addresses to reach without a car. Sackville Street runs off Piccadilly, and we are on the right-hand side heading north.

How Long Do Alterations Take?
Simple work such as a trouser hem is usually a matter of days. Anything that means opening up a jacket, such as shoulder or sleeve work, takes longer. Across London, quality alteration work generally runs five to seven working days, and we give you a firm date when we quote rather than a general estimate.
What Should I Bring?
For alterations, the whole outfit, and the shoes you will wear with it. For a new commission, nothing is required, though a jacket you already like tells us more in a minute than a conversation does in ten.
Can You Match the Original Thread and Finish?
That is the standard we work to on every alteration. Where a garment uses an unusual cloth or finish we will say so at the quote rather than discover it halfway through.
Bring the Whole Suit, Not Just the Trousers
People almost always arrive with the one piece they think is wrong. It costs them time, because a jacket and trousers have to balance against each other, and shortening trousers changes how the jacket reads against them.
