A bespoke suit in London starts with a pattern drawn from scratch for your body. We take over 30 measurements and draw a pattern made only for you. So the shoulders sit flat, the chest sits clean and the jacket moves with you.
Full Canvas Construction
Every jacket is built with a full canvas. That is the inner layer that gives a jacket its shape, and it moulds to your chest over time. A two piece gets over 75 hours of hand detailing.
Over 5,000 Cloths
You choose from over 5,000 cloths, from light summer wools to cashmere and tweed. Your tailor brings samples and helps you pick one for how and when you will wear it.
Menswear and Womenswear
We make bespoke suits for men and women: two piece and three piece suits, business suits, dinner suits and morning suits. You can ask for your tailor by name, and the same tailor looks after you from the first visit to the final fitting.
Your bespoke suit, made over 2 to 3 fittings
Most clients need 2 to 3 fittings, and most suits are ready 6 to 8 weeks after your first visit. Here is what happens at each step.
- Free consultation
The first visit takes about an hour. Together we talk about what the suit is for, look at cloth and take your measurements.
- Your pattern
Next, your tailor notes how you stand and move. Then we draw your pattern and you choose your cloth.
- Baste fitting
This is your first try on. The suit is loosely stitched, so we can check the fit and change it early.
- Further fittings
Each one checks how the shoulders sit, the length of the sleeves and the fall of the trousers. The suit gets closer to right every time.
- Final fitting
Every seam, button and lining is checked. Then your suit is pressed and ready to wear.

What happens at your first bespoke suit consultation?
You talk through what you need, see cloth and get measured, all in about an hour. You can take your time to decide afterwards.
How long does a bespoke suit take?
Six to eight weeks is normal, from your first visit to collection. That gives time to draft your pattern and do each fitting properly. If you have a date to meet, tell us, as we can often speed things up.
What is the difference between bespoke and made to measure?
Bespoke means a pattern drawn from scratch for your body. Made to measure adjusts an existing pattern to your size. Bespoke gives you the closest fit and the most say in how your suit is built.
Do I need to know about cloth before I come in?
You can arrive knowing nothing about cloth. The options are explained in plain words, and your tailor helps you choose. Just bring an idea of what the suit is for.
What should I bring to my first fitting?
Bring the shoes you plan to wear with the suit, because trouser length is set to the shoe. Wear something close to the body to help with measuring.
What does the 5 year guarantee cover?
Your suit comes with our 5 year guarantee, which covers wear and tear. That includes tears to the cloth and changes in your weight, for clients who have bought from us in the last 12 months. Bring the garment to the showroom, dry cleaned, and your tailor will look after it.
