What Is Our Tailoring Process For Our At-Home Tailoring Service?

Your journey starts with a meeting at your space. We’ll talk about what you need and look at lots of fabrics and styles. You pick what you like, and we help you decide what works best for your occasion and personal style.
Tailoring Your Fit
Next, we measure you to make sure everything fits perfectly. We make a first version of your garment and have you try it on. This lets us see where we need to make changes to get the fit just right.
Looking Sharp
At your last appointment, you try on the finished piece. We check that you love how it looks and feels. Then, it’s all yours to take home. We also give you tips on how to keep it looking great.
From First Stitch To Final Fit
Aftercare
Aftercare Our service doesn’t end when you leave with your garment. We provide comprehensive aftercare advice on maintaining your bespoke tailoring. We are also available for any future adjustments or repairs that might be needed, ensuring your investment remains impeccable for years to come.
5 Year Guarantee
Fielding & Nicholson is committed to its clients for the long-term and likes to exceed expectations when it comes to value and service. Our unique 5 year guarantee helps to ensure our clients’ clothes last as long as is possible given the rigours of day to day wear. The guarantee covers ‘reasonable wear and tear’ for a 5 year period. This can include weight loss / gain, accidental tears and superficial lining damage (not entire relining). To ensure we give you the best possible service and remain viable and productive business we have outlined the following stipulations below.

Care and Maintenance Tips for Bespoke Garments
To maintain your tailored pieces, we recommend

Always hang your suit on a wide-shouldered, sturdy hanger to maintain its shape. Avoid thin wire hangers, which can cause the fabric to sag or stretch over time.

Brush and Air Out Regularly: Use a natural-bristle suit brush to remove dust and lint after each wear. Allow the suit to air out for a day or two before storing it back in the closet to release any absorbed odors and prevent moisture build-up.

Dry Clean Sparingly: Only dry clean your suit when absolutely necessary, as excessive cleaning can wear down the fabric. Spot-clean minor stains and try steaming to refresh the fabric between dry cleanings.
