Concours on Savile Row

Concours on Savile Row

The Concours of elegance show on Savile Row took place on the 15th and 16th June and was full of exquisite suits, great style and incredible cars, what more could you want. We had a look round and have chosen our favourite car along with a couple of our favourite looks.

David Gandy in a Summer style

David Gandy can do no wrong when it comes to style, he has impeccable taste and a great wardrobe. This beige cotton linen blend suit paired with an open blue button down was just the perfect decision for the day. Sleek and modern to fit in with many of the cars but an excellent example of tailoring to pair nicely with the environment of Savile Row. It’s a great summer suit choice that we would definitely recommend to our clients.

Love the car, love the suit

Now we know the car is the main feature here and it is looking amazing in the sun but we must not ignore the dapper looking gentleman to the right. With a soft blue linen suit, white shirt, brown tie and excellent hat this man is dressed well for the weather and the audience. This man has definitely got style and we would love to get him into one of our suits.

Checks and Stripes

This is a great photo , two extremally well-dressed men with a glimpse of a classic car and the iconic Savile Row sign, what more could you want. Let talk first about the man in the brown stripes, a well-balanced look where he ties in the brown colours across the whole outfit without  making it “Too Brown” and just adding the hat is the perfect accessory. We love how the man in blue has gone bold with the suit but muted down the accessories and the shirt to make sure the blue check is the main feature. There is a lesson to learn here on balancing your colours.

The Main Event

There were truly some exquisite cars lining the street of Savile row on both days of the event including innovative electric cars, classics, ones with stories and one with rather large price tags. But a unanimous decision was that we all really loved the only factory produced Ferrari Testarossa spider. Which was created for Gianni Agnelli, who was the principle shareholder in Fiat and was once the richest man in Italy. Were you at the show? Let us know your favourite car…
