Investing in bespoke at a young age

Investing in bespoke at a young age

Whether you need a suit for a special occasion such as a wedding, funeral, family gathering, or formal event, or you need one for your 1st job interview, university interview, or Apprenticeship. Owning your first suit is a big thing especially if it is bespoke, we believe it puts a young man on the path to success because if you look good you feel good and that can only lead to good things.

Choosing the right Suit

The first step in choosing a suit for a young man is to consider the occasion. If it’s a formal event, you may want to opt for a black, navy, or grey suit. However, if it’s a semi-formal or casual event, you may want to go for a lighter-colored suit, such as beige or light grey.

Consider the style of the suit.

This is where a bit of research beforehand comes in handy as you can show your tailoring consultant some inspirational imagery and also find something that fits your style because as a young man, you don’t want to opt for something that is more fitting for an older gentleman.

The two most common styles are single-breasted and double-breasted suits. Single-breasted suits are more common and versatile, whereas double-breasted suits are more formal and traditional. You should also consider the type of lapel, the number of buttons, and the type of pockets.

Fit and style

Fit is always a big thing for any client young or old, we have to find the right fit that’s comfortable for them, and for young men that means comfort and style. When it comes to styling the suit you also need to take into consideration shirts and ties and how a young man would want to wear them, a lot of younger men opt for no tie and just a shirt.

Growth

We know that, unlike adult men, boys can have growth spurts and change shape dramatically in their teenage years so unlike a lot of clothes, suits can be altered to fit. We can incorporate more fabric into the seams and hems so that in a few years’ time we can alter it and it will fit just as well as it did to start with. A bespoke suit is a great investment for any young man and we would be happy to help anyone who is looking to start their suit collection young.
