We’re proud to announce that we have now settled into our new home at number 35 Sackville Street, Mayfair in the West End of London, alongside the established cloth merchant Dormeuil. Dormeuil is a French fifth-generation cloth merchant known for its immaculate fine fabrics.
The brand was established in 1842 by Jules Dormeuil who had the idea of exporting the fine fabrics of England to France. His three brothers joined him and in 1858 and the family crest was designed with three rams heads, to represent the brothers, Jules, Alfred and Auguste. In 1862 they established a registered office in Paris and in 1871 they opened their first retail store in London’s New Building Street. In 1880 they expanded into Asia and in 1905 opened their first office in New York City. They continued to expand the brand and make a name for themselves, opening offices in China and Australia in 1990 and celebrated their 150th anniversary in 1992.
We are extremely lucky to be able to share their beautiful building with them and it will allow us to have 24-hour access to over 5000 different weights, shades and types of cloth, meaning we will definitely find something to your taste. Now we can offer a truly bespoke experience for our clients who can now select their own playlist, drinks and aperitifs in advance of their consultation. We now have a physical address off the world-famous Savile Row, the home of tailoring worldwide. This gives us access to advice and cloths from a huge variety of merchants, in addition to some of the best tailors in the world. The showroom offers a luxurious and discrete fitting space that is COVID-safe, clean and cosy.
The bespoke service we currently offer at 35 Sackville street will be an experience in itself on top of having your bespoke suit. We’re looking forward to welcoming and serving clients old and new, offering the best cut, service and value possible.
