Everyone is obviously talking about the Will Smith and Chris Rock incident from this year’s Oscars, but have you had a look at some of the formal and stylish red carpet looks?
We have picked out a few of our favourites…

Firstly we loved the pastel blue Bottega Veneta suit brought to us from ‘The power of Dog’ Actor Kodi Smit-McPhee.
The blue tones are very reminiscent of a beautiful day on the Italian coast. We think it may not an everyday style but is worth taking inspiration for a special occasion look or Summer separates.

The Academy Award-winning actor Daniel Kaluuya, best known for his role in Get Out, really stood out in a bright green double-breasted tuxedo jacket, paired with a black shirt and trousers.
We really love this bright bold pop of colour with Daniels skin tone, a very memorable look.

The Canadian actor Simu Liu made an impression with his custom Versace red suit with hints of gold hardware and satin detail. This was his first Oscars. He is most well-known for his role in the Marvel film Shang- Chi and the legend of the 10 rings.
We think this is a stunning look that would look just as good in an array of different pastel colours.

Andrew Garfield cuts a handsome figure in this classic look. The nominated actor arrived at The Oscars this year looking sophisticated and sleek in a deep red velvet jacket from Saint Laurent.
With think, this look is topped off by the divergent choice of tie.

Wilmer Valderrama is most recognisable from his role in ‘That 70’s show’ and voicing Agustín Madrigal in the new Disney movie Encanto.
His suit for this year’s Oscars was a great choice of a dark green velvet jacket, embellished with the lighter green piping around the lapels. We will definitely be taking inspiration from this detail for our clients and our own suits.
The piping adds so much to the look.

The game of thrones actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau made a bold choice but we love it. The cream tux with black detail was a masterpiece.
If you have the confidence to pull this look off we definitely recommend going for it.
