Fashion weeks can be full of trends and styles that you should definitely go nowhere near and some trends that you instantly feel drawn to and can see a place for them in your wardrobe. We’ve filtered out the bad trends and two SS22 trends we think you should take inspiration from for your next piece of tailoring.
Suits but not as you know them
Our dress for work has shifted massively in the last couple of years and we as tailors have focused on this movement a lot. With the decline of the grey two-piece worn with your shirt and tie 5 days a week, has given space for the rise of easy to wear two-piece that can be worn on the sofa, in the office or just popping to the shop.
The main feature of this trend was three-button suits in cotton and linens in a low key fabric that just act almost as a layering piece

Black Funeral tailoring has been resurrected
Although we have seen a change in tailoring that doesn’t mean we won’t have the same opportunity’s to dress up for the occasion every now and again, which is shown by the designers that went for stark black tailoring for their SS22 collections.
These looks included classic style black overcoats, wrap-around jackets which fasten at the side and the ever-stylish black two-button jackets and trousers.

If you are thinking about taking inspiration from these looks contact one of our tailoring consultants who will be able to talk you through your options.
