We know it’s early and summer isn’t over yet but there is no harm in getting your wardrobe ready for the cooling temperatures and autumn weather.
Getting a head start ensures you’ll be prepared when the season does start to shift and that you are also on trend, making sure you keep looking super stylish.
Assess your wardrobe
There is no need to rush to the store without assessing what’s In your current transitional and autumn collection. Including pieces you can wear all year and pieces that only come out in the cooler months, like heavier knitwear and boots.
Work out what you are missing generally and what you don’t have that is on trend this season as well as looking for anything that might need replacing or repairing after its years of service.
Look for layers
The key to autumn winter is layering in our opinion, easy to take off when inside and hot but also easy and still stylish when you go outside into the cold, it is the perfect tip to keep you stylish and comfortable.
Pieces include knitwear, over shirts, sweater vests, and jackets like over coats.
Knitwear is always a big part of our autumn-winter wardrobe, from simple v-necks worn under our suit jackets to cardigans and sweaters worn for more smart casual situations.
If you are lacking on this front we would highly recommend investing in a few more.
We do offer our own bespoke smart casual pieces – just speak to one of our tailoring consultants.
Maybe your suits from last winter are still in good condition and still fit well but if not don’t hesitate to speak to us about alternations or repairs or even if you need to replace them.
We love making winter suits with warm handle wools and cotton.
This is just a gentle reminder that autumn and winter is on its way and it would be good to get ahead of it when it comes to your wardrobe. Let us know if you need any help doing this…
