The season for new beginning is in full swing, birds are chirping, flowers are budding and we are all feeling a bit more lively and that means your wardrobe needs to be taken from winter warmers to spring feelings.
Here are our tips and tricks to help you adapt to the warmer spring weather.
Put away your heavy winter clothes
It’s time to move your wardrobe about a bit, move the heavy chunky clothes such as overcoats, heavy knits, scarves and winter pieces to the back of your wardrobe or into storage, you won’t be needing them for a while.
This frees up space for your more spring-summer clothing, you don’t want to be distracted by pieces that you definitely won’t be wearing.
Now this isn’t all of your jumpers because some knits are perfect for layering in colder mornings and you always have to prepare for the British weather.

Look for lighter-weight fabrics
Spring is the time for looking at lighter-weight fabrics for example swap out your woollen winter suits for more lightweight and breathable cotton.
This allows you to be much more comfortable in the warmer weather.
Colour
Sometimes during the colder months, we can get into a bit of a slump by only wearing duller colours to match the weather and mood but as spring comes along we have to remember to bring a bit of colour, print and pattern back into our wardrobe.
This could be as simple as a new knitwear piece, a patterned tie or even striped and floral shirts. Just try not to stick to the beige, greys and navy all year round.

Versatile pieces
Spring is about mixing and matching looks especially when it comes to casual style. Look for versatile pieces that can be worn in many different ways with many different looks. For example, jackets that can be worn with all outfits or a versatile blazer.
Layering is key
Although the weather is getting warmer, spring can still be very chilly so layering is key, always be able to put on and take off depending on where you are and what the weather is like.

Adapting your wardrobe for spring is all about bringing in more colour, lighter fabrics and being able to adapt what you wear depending on what the days going to be like.
So it’s time to put those winter pieces away and embrace the spring/summer.
