Our top tips for choosing and styling summer tailoring pieces including layering and fabric.
Loose fitting
They key to choosing summer tailored pieces for your wardrobe is to make sure you go for something less structured and more loose fitting, because who wants to be wearing tight trousers in the heat!
Go for something lighter with more movement to allow your body to keep cool, it also make you feel more relaxed which is what summer is for. Relax and recuperate after a long British winter whether abroad or at home.

Casual
With more lighter fabrics and looser shapes a summer suit or jacket should be worn with more smart casual style. For example maybe opt for a polo or grandad collar shirt rather than a button down to make yourself feel less restricted in the heat. Also opt for loafers rather than you normal lace up to bring that holiday feel to the outfit.
Linen
The go to choice for a warm weather suit, this could be for a holiday or for the occasional hot day we have here is linen. A natural material meaning it is breathable and light weight which keeps you cool in the heat.
Don’t be afraid of it creasing ”that’s what linen does, it’s a characteristic” There is also a huge variety of colours and cloth weights to choose from, just ask your tailor.
There are many other summer suit cloths that our tailors would recommend, just get in contact to talk through what you are looking for.

Unstructured
A summer tailored blazers is a good chance to explore a more unstructured fit and shape. It more lightweight and looks a lot more relaxed and casual compared to your normal suit.
And unstructured blazer can make your outfit look more polished but still gives you casual sophistication.
